Work to replace the LaFox Road Bridge over Mill Creek starts Wednesday, May 14.

Expect delays.

The work will take place on LaFox Road between Campton Hills Road and IL Route 38. Traffic flow will be reduced to one open lane with temporary traffic signals maintaining traffic through the construction zone 24-hours a day, for the duration of the project, according to a press release from the Kane County Division of Transportation.

North Grand Monde Road will be closed at LaFox Road, while South Grand Monde Road will remain open to traffic. KDOT officials are reminding drivers that a reduced speed limit is posted through the construction zone to protect the motorists and construction crews.

Motorists are advised to expect increased travel times, exercise caution and obey the posted speed limit while traveling through the work zone and watch for equipment entering and exiting on LaFox Road.
